Pixel Print Planner
About & methodology
A small tool for a specific decision
Pixel Print Planner helps you compare keeping the whole image with filling a sheet before you order a print. It works from dimensions you type, so you do not need to share an image or create an account.
This is a geometric calculator, not a photo preview, editor, upscaler, or print-quality certification. It does not claim expertise from a team, a lab, or a professional credential.
Methodology you can inspect
Paper measurements are converted to inches using 2.54 centimeters per inch. Fit density is the larger of pixel width ÷ paper width and pixel height ÷ paper height. Fill density is the smaller. The source aspect ratio remains unchanged.
Fit dimensions are pixels ÷ fit density; the unused width and height are split equally into borders. The retained fill rectangle is paper size × fill density. Cropped percentage is 100 × (1 − retained area ÷ original area). Required pixels are paper inches × target PPI, rounded upward per side. The calculations use stable formulas, not a live data feed.
